I am stupidcharged again!

For those who don't know, in early January I blew the motor in Pickles. I am admitting...... partial blame.

Anyways, I got it towed back to my parent's house, and when I came home this weekend for spring break, I put the new motor in. It's from a 98 and it supposedly has 109K. But I am suspicious, because the place said it was out of a GTP which it wasn't... so I don't even know that the mileage is correct. But it seems to run great so I'm alright with it.

Bill came down for the weekend and helped me put it in, he was AWESOME and helped me deal with the stupid crap that was happening during the swap. Apparently seizing the motor makes things a little more difficult.

I will put up pics soon, just finishing washing the car and engine, and threw on another coat of Fuzion

And c'mon..it wasn't the weekend. I was there for 13 hours, left the same day of arrival. I'm extremely proud of Rach, most people would have wanted to stop for at least a pee break or a moment of rest. She earned her ratchet and socket set on Sunday when she was up and working before I got there and stayed in the garage the entire day, nonstop. For the car to be along far enough where I'd leave, she worked her guts out.

Great job Rach. And then fixing a leaky plastic fuel line, that's more than I had success with. The couple of minor last things are stuff that you'll have down after your next couple swaps. You didn't make me sweat with those, they were actually pretty straight forward.

well, i'm being reminded of the problems the car had before the engine blew.... it just puked a bunch of transmission fluid. at least tranny lines are easier to replace than engines

more stupid problems... now the oil pressure sender is leaking too. at least these are all easy fixes, and at least i have until saturday for every other problem to come up before the 600 mile drive
